 Consortium

Welcome to the DSMCC Homepage

The DoD Secure Multimedia Conferencing Consortium (DSMCC) is chartered by the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (ASD(C3I)). The DSMCC is an extension and continuation of the DoD Digital Voice Processor Consortium (DDVPC), whose charter dates to the early 1970's. The DSMCC's goal is to implement efforts to cooperatively provide secure multimedia conferencing communications to U.S. government agencies. The membership of the DSMCC covers both military and civilian agencies of the U.S. Government.

The purpose of these pages is to provide public access to information concerning the DSMCC's efforts as well as to support coordination in these efforts between and among DSMCC members and government agencies interested in secure multimedia conferencing. Relevant past efforts of the DDVPC are contained and/or archived within this website. More information concerning the authorization and responsibilities of the DSMCC can be found in its charter.
